Montgomery Night Gets it Going at GiG Night!

Updated: May 24

Being a new band, Montgomery Night has to start somewhere. If you have ever been to a show in Halifax, Nova Scotia, then you probably know Gus' Pub is the place where new music happens! The popular gig spot is also working to grow the scene with a monthly band mixer, known as Gig Night. Nine bands get 15 minutes each to showcase their talent!

The shows are hosted on the last Monday of the month. Bands on the bill like Montgomery Night and Starhood, were both riding a wave of momentum via word of mouth in the local scene. The bar was standing room only.

Despite it being a rainy and cold Monday, people stayed warm while leaning into the chill styles from Waking up Biscuit, and Sly Fi. Blues Rock Mix from Same Flavour Different Impact. Hard hitting Rock from Backyard action Heroes, Elliot's Rose, and hosts of the event Sleeping Machines!

It's safe to say that everyone who played walked out with a few new fans that night! GiG night

Ten will also be remembered as the most punctual rock show in the history of music. Smooth turnovers from every band, and the night ended at 11:30 right on the button as scheduled.

Each GiG night ends with all bands drawing from the “Goblet of Glory” prizes supplied from the event host C.J. Hill.

Montgomery Night's own Reagan pulled a lucky number and won the “sceptre of GLORY!. A great addition stage performance, Montgomery Night looks forward night to knighting everyone!
